The concept for Magnolia Hotel Group, LLC began in 1968 when our founder, Dr Alan Swindall opened his first two Holiday Inn properties in Phenix City and Opelika Alabama.  By focusing on the core principles of integrity, professionalism, quality, and innovation, Magnolia Hotel Group grew to manage 11 properties for Dr. Swindall.  In 2012, Magnolia Hotel Group purchased a majority of his portfolio and continued to manage the properties.  Many of these properties were sold to REITS and Magnolia continued to expand to not only own and operate hotels but develop and manage restaurants as well.  'Our latest restaurant, Eve on Adams, is a rooftop restaurant that towers over Tallahassee on the 17th floor of the DoubleTree Tallahassee.  Other restaurants include The Office Sports Bar and Grill, adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express Columbus that Magnolia Hotel Group, LLC owns and operates.  This was so successful that an additional Office Sports Bar and Grill was opened in downtown Athens, Georgia.  

 

Magnolia Hotel Group has always been a leader in the industry winning many awards including the Kemmons Wilson “Kimmie” award for the best Holiday Inn Express in the entire Holiday Inn Express Brand.
