The Kemmie is given to one Holiday Inn Express Torchbearer hotel each year that best exemplifies the core brand values. These values of Family, Integrity, Tradition, Modesty, Community, Balance and Self-reliance are the same values that Magnolia instills in all of our managed assets.

 

The Kemmie award honors the founder, Kemmons Wilson. His initial vision of personal hospitality and caring dedication to others is the definition of the Kemmie Award. Whereas the Torchbearer recognizes operational excellence, the Kemmie recognizes the way the performance was achieved.

 

In 2009 the Holiday Inn Express-Columbus, Georgia, a Magnolia Hospitality Group property, won the Kemmie Award.
